Description

Small U-shaped loops, frequently branched; in large numbers forming antler-shaped systems; similar to asymmetrical very small Rhizocorallium, parallel or oblique to bedding planes. [Feeding burrows; regarded by FISCHER & PAULUS (1969, p. 90) as true spreiten burrows, protrusively built.] [Various forms (L.Carb., Kulm; Ger.) have been placed in Phycosiphon by PFEIFFER (1968, p. 676).]
